Hello, I’m Dee.

Self-confessed Microsoft geek who simply wants to create beautiful documents.

Being a document architect is the ideal way to apply my skills; I am creative, organised and keen to find the best solutions. I love to learn about clients’ visions and objectives, so I can represent their brand identity and share their message in every project.

We never stop learning and I love resolving document issues, with a quick hack, a new tool or the ideal system. It’s rewarding to answer questions, make a process more efficient and help other businesses to make an impact.

I’ve spent more than 10 years helping organisations communicate clearly through well‑designed, accessible documents. My clients include charities, small businesses, authors preparing for self‑publishing, coaches and training providers who rely on professional, branded materials.

For me, job satisfaction is creating visually appealing, high-quality documents that reflect clients’ brand identity, look professional and increase engagement from the reader. My reward for a job well done is a glass of cider in the garden with a cryptic crossword or a good book.

The desire for a balanced lifestyle drove me to leave the corporate world and take control of how I spend my time. I knew I could apply the skills and expertise gained in 17 years of project management and learning & development in new ways. I became self-employed in 2015 and find it insightful and rewarding to work with a wide range of SMEs. As my business continues to evolve, I encounter plenty of opportunities for personal development.

To adjust from being part of a large team to remote working, I became an active member of local business networks and forums. This has enabled me to build a network of local contacts, trusted associates and loyal clients. As a member of various local networking groups, it rarely feels as though I am working in isolation.
